Last Saturday 29 July, the Hotel B.O.G. was filled with excitement and anticipation as we held our 'Malta, the Gateway to Europe' event. At this face-to-face event, attendees had an immersive, exciting and eye-opening experience with our entire Boom team as they immersed themselves in the benefits of doing the GBS MBA programme in Malta. For the whole team, this event was extremely rewarding and exciting so today we want to tell you more about this experience.
Behind the scenes
The planning and execution of this wonderful event involved the collaboration of our team and key partners. From the initial stages, our goal was to create an enriching environment for the attendees and to push them to fulfil their dreams.
We convened 191 people, who received their invitation in two modalities. A group of our prospective students got access to a VIP event and the rest of our stakeholders received an invitation to the immersion event.
Our objective
With the event, we wanted each participant to live a unique, immersive and inspiring experience of what it is like to live and study in Malta. The main objective of this meeting was to raise awareness of the multiple benefits that doing an academic programme abroad can have on an academic, personal and professional level.
All the effort was worth it!
Our event was a resounding success in terms of participation and interaction. Not only did attendees receive information about what life is like in Malta or what opportunities are available to study an MBA in Malta, but they were also transported through a visual, auditory and experiential experience that captured the essence of studying in the Mediterranean. Through lectures, detailed presentations and hands-on experiences, we managed to pique the interest and curiosity of each participant.
Malta, the gateway to Europe
At the event we had 5 stations, through which our guests navigated through the highlights of a study experience in Malta.
Life in MaltaFirst the guests enjoyed a snack in the best Mediterranean style, while getting to know much more about the day to day life on the island. They learned geographical, political and cultural facts, which permeate the life of every student who sets foot on the island.
Study in MaltaIn the second station, we had as guests representatives of our partner institutions where students were able to learn about the different programmes, benefits and modalities.
Works in Malta: At the third station, the participants learned about the process of finding a qualified job on the island after completing the programme. They resolved doubts and broke myths about it.
Entrepreneurship in Malta: At the fourth station, the experience of setting up a company in Malta was presented by one of the co-founders of Boom. This information was of great relevance for those interested in the MBA and they were able to learn about all the alliances that Boom has for this purpose.
Travel to Malta: In the fifth and last station was to present all the support that Boom has for its students, from free advice to funding programmes.
And best of all...
This event is just the beginning
Boom Studies is excited to announce that our plans do not stop here. Inspired by the success of this occasion, we are working hard to hold a similar event in Malta, this time physically bringing together all the government entities involved.
Our aim is to create a space for dialogue and collaboration, where we can promote international educational opportunities and continue to realise the dreams of thousands of students to further their careers in Malta and Europe.
